Mahatab Kabir
Khandaker

PhD Candidate, Economics · Southern Illinois University Carbondale
I study international development — with a focus on migration, health, gender, energy, and technology. Most of my work uses quasi-experimental designs on household surveys and administrative microdata from South and Southeast Asia.
Before starting the PhD at SIUC, I was a Teaching Assistant at North South University, where I worked on projects in energy economics and economic development. I'm on the 2026–27 job market.
